Good delivery mashallah, very well rehearsed for sure…but is he an aalim?
I don’t think it is appropriate for a person, unless suitably qualified, to give lectures. Remember, the minbar is the minbar of the Prophet SAW.

As far as I know, this wasn’t rehearsed. He came directly from the masjid where he was teaching to give this speech.
He’s done a cover to cover journey through the meaning of the Quran several times over the past few years and he studied the Quran in Egypt.
Aalim or not I believe it’s suitable for anyone with meaningful advice to give in through all forms of communication. Whether its the minbar, youtube or on stage.

Seeker of Ulema: did the Prophet (saw) not instruct us to pass on what we learn, even if its just one verse? Are there some requirements that Allah or His messenger (saw) have set before one can give advice or teach what they have learned?
